Stress-free Aging: Planning for Health and Long-Term Care
The Healthy Aging Partnership—an informal coalition of representatives from nonprofit and government agencies that serve older adults in the Puget Sound region—invites you to participate in “Stress-free Aging: Planning for Health and Long-Term Care,” an Older Americans Month event on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 (12–4 p.m.) at the Renton Community Center, 1715 Maple Valley Hwy, in Renton. This free community event will include a resource fair and presentations.

- Rajiv Nagaich is an elder law attorney who teaches elder law at the University of Washington as an adjunct professor. If you are already retired or are thinking about retirement, Rajiv’s presentation will include an overview of how life planning can help you protect your assets, plan for good housing, and avoid becoming a burden to your loved ones in later life.
In addition to free admission, lunch is free, including regular and vegetarian sandwich options. If you have food allergies, please bring your own meal. RSVP at www.surveymonkey.com/r/SD7PF8R so we can ensure sufficient food and seating.

Join the Healthy Aging Partnership
Healthy Aging Partnership (HAP) members are organizations and individuals who are passionate about serving older adults. We are committed to educating our community about the needs of older adults and caregivers, and the resources available to assist them. We foster healthy choices for all people as we age. We help older adults live longer, happier, and healthier lives.
HAP’s theme for 2018 and beyond is “Creating Age-Friendly Communities.” We celebrate Older Americans Month in May and sponsor or co-sponsor numerous events that promote networking and community dialogue about community needs, such as Engaging Aging—the Age Friendly Seattle women’s equity forum last fall. Several years ago, we coordinated film screenings and hosted a film festival that featured locally produced short movies about healthy aging.
Aging services providers are welcome to join HAP, which meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 9:00–10:30 a.m. in the Lillian Rice Building, 2208 Second Avenue, in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood.
